8th International Day of Yoga 2022 For differently Abled People

The first curtain raiser event in the run-up of the 8th International Day of Yoga 2022 was organized by the Embassy with the differently abled people on 4th June 2022 at iconic Freedom Park in Khartoum.

More than 50 differently abled men and women from the “Physical Disability Challengers Organization” took part in the event. Among the participants were the director of the organization Ms. Mashaer, the members of Wheelchair Basket Ball Team of Sudan, Mr. Mohammed Atta, Sports Administrator and Social worker.

Ambassador H. E. B S Mubarak addressed the gathering and spoke on the theme ‘Yoga for All’.

This was followed by a Yoga practice led by the Sudanese Yoga Teachers, Ms. Tayseer, Ms. Fayrouz (both ITEC Students) and Ms. Hadeel.

The Embassy would thank Retd. Gen. Bushir , Director General and Mr. Habib Al Noor Hamza, Director, Project and Investment Department of Freedom Park for facilitating the venue to organize the event.
