Advisory on COVID-19 related Evacuation Facilitation - 01.06.2020
Embassy of India
Khartoum
Dated: June 01, 2020
Advisory on Covid-19 related evacuation Facilitation
The Embassy of India has continued its efforts to get Vande Bharat Evacuation Flights from Air India to Sudan, but the same has not been possible so far. In the meanwhile, at the initiative of the Embassy, Satguru Tours & Travels has tied up with Fly Dubai Airlines to organize an Evacuation Flight from Khartoum to Delhi for the stranded Indian nationals.
The Embassy is supporting this proposal and has obtained all the necessary government permissions in Sudan and India for its smooth operation. The unscheduled commercial flight will make a one hour stop over at Dubai airport for refueling, but no boarding or de-boarding is permitted at Dubai.
The 189-seater Fly Dubai FZ 8418/FZ 8197 flight is scheduled to depart from Khartoum International Airport at 1105 hrs on Wednesday, 3rd June, 2020 and reach Delhi at 2255 hrs (schedule attached). The list of the 189 passengers who have pre-registered with the Embassy, has been shared with the Government of India (GOI) for evacuation. It is requested that all the listed individuals may please contact Satguru Tours & Travels for obtaining their tickets. Satguru Tour & Travels has informed that the ticket cost is US dollars 750/-.
It is also requested that all passengers should sign the requisite undertaking form to be handed over/forwarded by Satguru travels and as required by the GOI from incoming passengers. The signed hard copy in original should be handed over to Satguru Tours & Travels at the time of ticketing and a copy is to be carried by the passenger.
The Embassy of India wishes all evacuees a very happy and safe journey!
