Ambassador of India Mr. B. S. Mubarak along with his spouse and officers of the Embassy visited Khartoum War Cemetery to pay respect to the brave Indian soldiers, who laid their lives during World War II.
On the western side of cemetery, the Khartoum Memorial commemorates 514 Indian soldiers, who sacrificed their lives in Second World War in Sudan, Eritrea and Ethiopia. The cemetery also houses 34 graves of Indian soldiers.
