Press conference about the progress achieved by India in medical care, vaccination, pharmaceuticals, and related fields
Embassy of India organized a press conference in Khartoum on 25 July 2022 which was attended by 15 Sudanese media houses and newspapers. During the interaction, the Ambassador Mr. B.S. Mubarak briefed the media on the progress achieved by India in medical care, vaccination, pharmaceuticals, and related fields.
Answering questions from media, Ambassador stated that during Covid crisis, India supplied more than 250 million doses of vaccines to 99 countries around the world. He also stated that at least 60% of the African kids have taken at least one dose of Indian vaccine. Ambassador also narrated the recent milestone achieved by Sudan health sector with the cooperation of Indian hospitals in the field of liver transplant surgery.
The Press Conference was organized in connection with the medical seminar being organized by Embassy of India on 30-31 July 2022 in Khartoum. Ambassador also invited the media, Sudanese nationals, NGOs and various Sudanese government organizations to the event which would provide an opportunity to have direct interface with 15 reputed Indian hospitals.
