Ambassador visits Port Sudan (13-15 February 2023)
Ambassador Mr. B.S. Mubarak, called on the Acting Governor of Red Sea State H.E. Rabih Fadl Al-Karim, and discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between India and the Red Sea State.
During his visit, Ambassador visited the Sea Ports Corporation and held meeting with a delegation led by C. Eng. Ibrahim Yousif Mohmed, General Manager of Sea Ports Corporation. A familiarization visit was organized for the Ambassador to interact with the officials at the training centre and various port facilities. Several areas related to cooperation between sea ports in India and Port Sudan were discussed.
During his visit Ambassador held a meeting with members of Chamber of Shipping Agencies of Sudan and discussed ways and means to facilitate and promote shipping and sea trade between India and Sudan.
During his visit, Ambassador also visited the site of Dama Dama Oil Terminal project Phase-II which is being developed by Tridel Technologies, a multinational organization in Environmental Industry, with offices in India, UAE and Australia.
Ambassador also visited the Sea Port Authority Hospital and discussed collaboration between Indian hospitals and Sea Port Authority Hospital in Port Sudan.
Ambassador also visited the Red Sea University and held meeting with the delegation led by Dr. Abdelgadir Badawi Mohammed Hussien, Vice Chancellor of the Red Sea University. Several areas of cooperation including in the field of marine sciences, ITEC scholarships and collaboration between Indian universities were discussed.
