Embassy of India hosted a reception today on 9 March 2023 at India House for 25 Sudanese Government officials from the Ministries of Cabinet Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Interior, Telecommunications & Digital Transformation, National Centre of Information, Sovereign Council and National Statistics Centre who have been selected for the fully sponsored ITEC Scholarship programme titled “Specialized Course on Software and E-Governance”. The course will be held at Lovely Professional University in Punjab from 15 to 28 March 2023.
Dr. Sami Mustafa Mohamed Ali, Director General of the General Administration for Decision Support attended the event as the Guest of Honour. During his address, he appreciated Government of India for supporting Sudan in Capacity Building of its nationals.
Ambassador Mr. B.S. Mubarak briefed the members on the India-Sudan partnership in education and capacity building.
This is the second group of Sudanese Government Officials leaving on a special ITEC scholarship to India this year. The first group of 45 Sudanese Government officials left for training to India on 20th February 2023.
