Asian Women’s Festival 

As part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence, Embassy of India organized an ‘India Pavilion’ at the Asian Women’s Festival organized by Council for International Peoples Friendship on 19 March 2022. The India Pavilion was inaugurated by the Secretary General of Council for International Peoples Friendship, Mrs. Salwa Mohamed Mahagob along with spouse of Ambassador and members of the Indian Embassy. A variety of Indian handicrafts, textiles and Rangoli were displayed at the Pavilion. Indian cuisine was served to the visitors. An Indian fashion show with Sarees and traditional wear from 10 different States of India was showcased during the event. An Indian cultural event with Bharatnatyam dance and patriotic Indian songs was organized during the event. Several dignitaries from the Sudanese community and from the Asian community visited the India pavilion.
