Indian community celebrates ‘HAR GHAR TIRANGA’ Event
Indian community celebrates ‘HAR GHAR TIRANGA’ Event in Khartoum.
As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Government of India’s initiative of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign, the Embassy of India, Khartoum in partnership with the Indian Friendship Club (IFC) and Indian Community in Sudan organized an event ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ on 12 August 2022. The event was held at the Indian Friendship Club, Khartoum which started with lighting up the traditional lamp where along with Ambassador of India Mr. B. S. Mubarak and spouse, Mr. Mohamed Salih, President IFC, Dr. Anil Mithani participated with other distinguished members of the Indian community.
More than 600 Indian nationals, Persons of Indian Origin and Friends of India attended the event. Indian flags were distributed among the community to mark the occasion. A Cultural programme was also organized where Indians from different states enthusiastically participated and showcased their patriotism by performing song, dance, drama etc. Indian cuisine from several states were offered to the visitors. Indian handicrafts, grocery and dress materials were also displayed during the event.
