Celebration of National Voters Day
1. A citizen of India, who is absent from the country owing to employment, education etc., and has not acquired citizenship of any other country is eligible to be registered as Overseas Voters in the constituency as per the address mentioned in his/her Indian passport. Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) is not issued to overseas electors and they are allowed to vote in person at the polling station on production of their passport. However, e-postal ballots shall soon be provided to NRI voters. Full details regarding overseas electors are available on https://ecisveep.nic.in/voters/overseas-voters/ and www.nvsp.in.
2. Embassy of India will be celebrating National Voters Day (NVD) on 26 January 2019 after 11.00 AM at India House, when National Voters Day Pledge will be administered by H.E. Ambassador Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal to India-based Officers/staff members of the Mission and overseas electors.
