8th International Day of Yoga
8th International Day of Yoga
The Embassy of India, Khartoum celebrated the 8th International Day of Yoga on 18th June 2022. The event was attended by around 200 participants including Diplomatic community based in Sudan, Indian diaspora, Sudanese dignitaries and local Sudanese community.
While addressing the gathering Ambassador B S Mubarak extended a very warm welcome to all the participants and spoke on the theme ‘Yoga for Humanity’. H.E. Dr. Nima Saeed Abid, Representative of World Health Organization in Sudan spoke about the importance of preventive health and Yoga.
We would like to thank CTC Group for partnering with us in organizing the International Day of Yoga.
The Yoga session was led by Sudanese instructors Ms. Tayseer Mohamed, Ms. Fayrouz Mohamed Elhelo, Ms. Hadeel Gahir and Mr. Mohammed Atta, Sports Administrator and Social Worker.
