The Embassy of India, Khartoum celebrated World Hindi Diwas on 14 January 2023 at India House.
The Embassy of India, Khartoum celebrated World Hindi Diwas on 14 January 2023 at India House.
2. The event was attended by prominent members of Indian diaspora, Hindi lovers, Friends of India, Embassy staff & family members.
3. The message from Hon’ble Prime Minister of India was screened and read during the event. The programme consisted of recital of Hindi poetry, singing Hindi songs, speeches and a quiz on the Hindi language. A poster making and essay competitions were held online. The winners were awarded and all the participants who performed were given prizes.
4. On this occasion, Ambassador H.E. B.S. Mubarak congratulated the winners of the poster making and essay writing contestants. In his speech, he highlighted the important role of Hindi as well as touched upon the widespread popularity of Hindi in Sudan and all over the world.
5. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of young children from the Indian diaspora and family members of the Embassy. And finally, the attendees were served with Indian snacks and sweets.
