Ambassador of India Mr. B.S. Mubarak led a delegation visit to Nyala City
As part of the outreach activities, Ambassador of India Mr. B.S. Mubarak led a delegation visit to Nyala City, Capital of South Darfur on 11th and 12th December 2022. The Governor of South Darfur, H.E Hamed Hanoun, convened a meeting of all Ministries and discussed important areas of collaboration between India in South Darfur, especially in the areas of agriculture and health.
Ambassador also paid a visit to Nyala University and was by Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Muhammad Ali Al-Haj Allouba. Ambassador discussed with Vice Chancellor and his delegation, cooperation between Nyala University and Indian universities, especially in the field of exchanging experts and participating in conferences. Opportunities for training programme and short courses for professors and staff members were also discussed.
A series of meetings also took place with State Ministries of Agriculture, Investment and Finance. A special session on exploring business partnership between India and South Darfur was organized with the Nyala Business Community.
A visit to Industrial areas was also organized for the delegation. There is a strong connect between Indian machineries and industries in South Darfur. Several industrial machineries and equipment in Nyala are imported from India.
