The Embassy of India, Khartoum organized a Business Seminar titled ‘State Day Madhya Pradesh - Discussions on Trade & Business Opportunities & Launching of Sudan-India Business Network [SIBN]’ on 09 January 2023 at Hotel Kanon, 37th Street, Khartoum.
2. To showcase the investment climate and industrial infrastructure, the Government of Madhya Pradesh is hosting the 7th edition of the “Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit [GIS]” on 11-12 January 2023 in Indore. About 30 Sudanese businessmen would be visiting Indore to attend this summit.
3. The Business Seminar aimed to promote trade and investment opportunities available in Madhya Pradesh. The Sudanese delegation was also briefed about the GIS summit. Separately, on this occasion, Ambassador H.E. Mr. B.S. Mubarak launched ‘Sudan-India Business Network (SIBN)’ a discussion platform to promote India-Sudan trade relations.
4. Prominent Sudanese businessmen from various sectors, Indian investors, business facilitators, representatives from the Government, and representatives of various Sudanese trade bodies attended this seminar.
5. A brief presentation was made by the Ambassador on Madhya Pradesh's export-oriented products, services, and investment opportunities.
6. About SIBN, the Ambassador in his remarks mentioned that the SIBN is formed under the patronage of the Embassy of India to facilitate business between India and Sudan, especially in the areas of trade and investment. He welcomed Businessmen/Companies from India and Sudan to join the SBIN.
