A team of Indian doctors led by Dr. Iyyappan Ponnuswamy, Medical Director from Kauvery Hospital, Chennai has arrived Port Sudan on 4th January, 2025 to conduct a 8-day free medical camp for the Sudanese in collaboration with Sea Port Corporation Hospital in Port Sudan. Welcoming the team at the Embassy, Cd'A Mr. G. S. Joshi apprised them about the role played by India in Health and Education sector in Sudan and appreciated the timely visit of the team. The medical team is comprised of 7 doctors covering wide area of specialities such as Cardiology, Oncology, Orthopaedics, Neurology Liver and Kidney Transplant.
