Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with key stakeholders is organising the second edition of CII India-Africa Higher Education & Skill Development Summit scheduled on 21-22 October 2021 on Virtual Platform. As per estimates, Africa will have a larger workforce than China, and by 2050, it will have the largest workforce in the world. One billion people will need jobs, which will primarily depend on accessibility to higher education and skill building opportunities where India can play a major role by providing quality and affordable education and industry based skills and make them job market ready. The event seeks to deepen the existing relationship between India and Africa in the following areas :


  • Explore the Online and Distance education programmes offered by universities in India.
  • Promote career based vocational education programmes suitable for the job market in Africa.
  • Promote the affordable courses offered by Indian universities and encourage African students to enroll.
  • Discuss the regulatory issues, quality of education, trade barriers, joint research programs with African universities
