Celebration of 68th Republic Day of India

On the occasion of 68th Republic Day of India, the flag hoisting ceremony was held with gaiety and splendor at the Embassy Residence. The National Flag was unfurled by Ambassador Shri Amrit Lugun, followed by singing of the National Anthem by attendees. The Ambassador read out the Hon’ble President’s message delivered on the eve of Republic Day. Cultural programme including patriotic songs and dance numbers were presented by the Children of Indian Community, Omdurman Indian Community School and members of Indian Ladies Club of Khartoum. More than 200 members of the Indian community were present at the ceremony. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the patriotic cultural performances. Later on Ambassador interacted with members of the community.
