The Ambassador of India Mr. B.S. Mubarak held a Press to boost India’s trade with Sudan and interact with the prospective buyers through focused B2B Meets

The Ambassador of India Mr. B.S. Mubarak held a Press briefing with more than 30 journalists and print media. Mr. Haitham Al Tijani, Secretary General, and Mr. Amroo Jafar, Vice Secretary-General from the Union of Chamber of Commerce, Union Chamber of Commerce also joined the Ambassador.
2. The Ambassador announced that the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) with the support of the Embassy of India, Khartoum, Sudan, and the Union of the Chamber of Commerce of Sudan, is mounting a Multi-Product Business Delegation to Khartoum, Sudan of select Indian Companies from November 14 to 17, 2022 with the objective to boost India’s trade with Sudan and interact with the prospective buyers through focused B2B Meets. Ambassador mentioned that this visit will further strengthen bilateral trade between the two nations through focussed B2B meets. Mr. Amroo Jafar representing the Union Chamber of Commerce, gave details of the preparations for the visit of the FIEO delegation to Sudan.
3. The Ambassador also announced that the Embassy in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Republic of Sudan and The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi is organizing the visit of A to Z Hindi Cinema Group from 11 November to 15 November 2022 and Maharashtrian Folk Group from 29 November to 2 December 2022 to Sudan. Both groups would present their performances in different venues in Khartoum.
4. Separately, Ambassador also announced that the Embassy in collaboration with Afairs Exhibitions and Media Ltd – a leading Education Fair & Convention Organiser is organizing the "Study In India Expo" on 2 & 3 December 2022 at Hotel Corinthia, Khartoum. The expo focuses on showcasing India as a destination for quality education with participation from prominent Universities and colleges from all over India.
5. During the press briefing, the Ambassador and Mr. Amroo also responded to queries from participating journalists related to the event, India-Sudan bilateral trade, and various activities organized by the Embassy to boost trade.
