Celebration of ITEC day

Embassy of India, Khartoum celebrated ITEC day on 8 March 2017 at India House. In addition to ITEC beneficiaries, invitees included dignitaries from the various ministries of government, UNDP, representative from the training institutions, universities and media. Few persons who are beneficiaries of ICCR and Pan-Africa e-network were also present. About 225 guests graced the occasion. Among the prominent attendees were chief guest H.E. Sayid Haroun, Minister of State for Culture, Amb Abdulwaheb Hijazi, Director of Asian affairs in MoFA, Amb. Ismail Ahmed Ismail from National Centre of Training, Mr. Rasheed Deputy Director, Indian Desk at MoFA, Prof.Gasim Badri, Vice-Chancellor of Ahfad University and prominent Indian community members and President Sudan-India Friendship Association (SIFA), representatives of local media, such as, Sudan News Agency (the official news agency of Sudan) and Sudan Vision were also present at the event. Some of the ITEC alumni shared their experiences during the training program, experience of local tours, Indian cultural diversity and how these training programmes are benefitting their professional excellence.
