Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign organised by Department of Posts of India at International Level (Last date: 31 October 2018)

1. Department of Posts of India is organizing a “Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Campaign” for the Indian Diaspora. The campaign is inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s “Amar Desher Mati” and its theme is ‘Letter to my motherland/मेरे देश के नाम खत’॰

2. The campaign will have two categories viz. upto 18 years and above 18 years. The letter is to be handwritten in English or Hindi or in any of the official languages mentioned in the 8 th Schedule of the Constitution of India. The letter must be written only on a plain A-4 size paper with a word limit of 1000 words. The entries are to be sent to Assistant Director General (Philately), Department of Posts, Room No. 108, Dak Bhawan, Sansad Marg, New Delhi-110001. Only hand written letters posted by 31 st October 2018 will be accepted.

3. All non-resident Indians and persons of Indian origin can participate in the Campaign. The participants need to give a certificate of age on the letter such as “I certify that I am below/above the age of 18 as on 01.01.2018” alongwith one copy of proof of their date of birth.

4.The top three letters in each category will be awarded following prizes.
